As part of the MA 13 ‘Session d’initiation aux techniques du Matériel (SITM)’ training course organised from 7 to 18 October, the IFF welcomed 73 trainees working in the field of railway equipment from 5 African and European companies (ONCF, SNCF, SETRAG, SETER and SIANA).

The aim of these 10 days of training was to master the principles governing the technical and technological choice of rolling stock.

The session alternated between face-to-face and remote conferences in Rabat, and included field visits to SIANA’s GV trainset maintenance Technicentres in Tangiers and the Etablissement de Maintenance Industrielle in Meknes.

With trainees from a wide range of backgrounds, the meeting was an excellent opportunity to exchange views and share experiences:

‘… trainees with a wide range of skills, giving them different perspectives on rolling stock…’. SETER trainee.

‘I really enjoyed the mix between railway workers from different countries, it helps to create a wider professional network and learn more about how railways work in other countries.’ SNCF trainee.

‘I appreciated the interactive sessions, which encouraged constructive exchanges with the other participants, making it possible to share experiences and strengthen collaborative learning.’ ONCF trainee.
