As part of the training and integration programme for 15 young SETRAG managers, co-developed in partnership with BBS, IFF has been welcoming them to Rabat since 7 October for an introductory course in railway professions, including infrastructure and rolling stock maintenance, human resources, railway safety, traffic management and railway projects.
This programme included 5 training modules led by expert coaches and punctuated by visits to railway establishments and the regional operational centres of the ONCF Group and SIANA, as well as on-site immersions in various railway sites in the Kingdom.
Our 15 young apprentices testify to the quality of this programme:
‘The exchanges with the trainers, who were able to adapt the training to our expectations, and their feedback were very rewarding’.
‘I appreciated the level of detail in the information, and now I have a better understanding of the infrastructure works and the different techniques used.
‘The training combined theory and practice, with case studies and field visits that enabled us to benchmark ONCF’s practices.
At the end of this training cycle in Rabat, IFF organised a session in the presence of SETRAG’s Managing Director, Mr Christian MAGNI, and Mr Jean Robert AVATOLI, SETRAG’s Human Resources Director. At the end of the session, the participants and the project pilots presented feedback on this important stage.
As part of this initiative, IFF also offered participants a week’s immersion in the SNCF Group in Lille and Paris to find out about the strategic issues and current challenges facing the French rail sector, and to gain an overview of best practice and innovations in rail management.
