IFF took part on Thursday 25 February in a symposium on railway safety and security organised by the Grands Trains du Sénégal (GTS) via videoconference.
Under the effective chairmanship of the Secretary of State in charge of the Railway Network (SERF), Mr. Mayacine Camara, the webinar was opened by Mr. Samba Ndiaye, Director General of the Grands Trains du Sénégal.
About forty participants attended this international panel lasting a total of 6 hours to discuss issues relating to safety in rail transport.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of IFF, Mr. Karim Eddine CHENNOUF presented the institute and its missions as well as the highlights of its cooperation with various African countries.
For his part, Mr. Christophe MARTIN, Director General of IFF presented 2 contributions on the themes of communication management in the cantonment system and the incident Management and its integration in training.
Marc Falchi, an expert in railway operations and trainer at IFF, gave a presentation on the Safety Management System (SMS) and its challenges.
The panel closed with a question & answer session with the audience.
