07 Oct 2024

From 16 September to 04 October 2024, IFF provided skills upgrading training in Rabat for 9 future trainers and managers of 4 railway branches of ISEP-Thiès in Senegal 🇸🇳 (Institut Supérieur d’Enseignement Professionnel): Track, Signalling – Energy and Telecoms, Railway Operation and Safety and Rolling Stock Maintenance.

The group was led by Mr Fall, teacher-trainer and head of the Logistics Department at ISEP Thiès.

🛤️⚙️ The first week was reserved for training in pedagogy and training design and delivery, while the last two weeks were devoted to training in track and catenary, signalling, railway operation and rolling stock maintenance.

🦺🛠️ To get to grips with the railway ecosystem, the future ISEP trainers had the opportunity to visit various sites and equipment in the field, such as the Network Control Centre (CCR) in Rabat, the equipment maintenance facility in Casablanca, the safety and signalling installations at Casablanca Passengers station and the track and catenary installations at Kenitra station.

✅Appreciated unanimously by all the participants and the head of the Group, the training was a source of satisfaction for Ms Amy Ba, Training Engineer and Coordinator of SETER ACADEMIE, which co-organised the programme with IFF and ISEP Thiès:

‘I’m very satisfied with this week of immersion, which far exceeded my expectations thanks to the quality of the discussions, the teaching skills of the trainers and the well-structured organisation. The warm welcome and availability of the team made for a smooth learning experience, with personalised follow-up. The practical immersions were particularly rewarding, enabling me to deepen my knowledge of the rail industry.
